Hello there! I’m Jeff Ohrstrom, and I’m a software engineer by day, and by night, I’m asleep.  I have no night alter-ego. I’m an avid video game player, book reader, music listener, tv watcher and altogether escapist.  Something I’m trying to fix, although, not too hard.

I kill it at work; and at life … not so much. At work, I’m consistently seen as great member of a team.  At home, my only furniture is the computer desk I write this at. Oh! and a bookshelf, but it’s full and the overflow is in stacks on the floor.

It’s hard to write who I am in a couple of paragraphs.  It’s even harder to acknowledge that you could approximate yourself in such small space; and pretty accurately too. None the less, I have to try. I have to move forward because it’s the only path I see.

I have to mark it off my TODO list; which is a real physical thing I need, but does not get many updates.

I started this blog primarily for my own uses. I live alone but have many things to say regardless of whether they’re worth hearing (or saying).  I think of it as screaming into a pillow.

It’s not about creating something, it’s about letting something go.

P.S.
I have to say, because everyone does these days, that the views expressed in this domain are solely my own and not, say, my employer’s, friend’s, family’s, loose acquaintance’s, any corporation or legal entity; fictional or real, on this planet or in any alternate universe.  Just to name a few things that are not me.
